Disaster Relief – Saving lives
Jazz Foundation believes in playing a key role with implementing partners’ and its associates during relief activities. It not only ensures that the affectees receive aid timely but makes certain that the aid is packaged, transported and distributed personally by Jazz volunteers.
Jazz’s Thar Relief Campaign
Jazz in the wake of famine and nutritional shortages faced by the residing communities of Tharparkar, led a private humanitarian response with the Pakistan Navy to cater to those in need. Jazz’s CSR team along with torchbearers traveled to Tharparker to ensure safe delivery and distribution of food supplies to more than thirteen thousand individuals.
Jazz’s IDP Relief Campaign
Jazz’s Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Relief Campaign in collaboration with the Pakistan Army, provided food relief and donated household articles to over eight thousand displaced individuals of North Waziristan situated in Bannu. The donations included contribution by Jazz employees from all across Pakistan.
Jazz’s Flood Relief Activity
Jazz partnered with Punjab Disaster Management Authority to provide food assistance to four thousand flood affectees in Jhang District and rural surroundings due to the widespread destruction caused by September 2014 floods. The relief consignment included perishable food items and basic medication to sustain a family of up to eight members for two weeks.
